Chocolate Avocado Mousse


This recipe is SO rich, full of healthy fats and flipping delicious. You only need a little because it's that satisfying (not something I often say about chocolate treats but this time it's for real!) It makes for a great dessert after a light meal or as a mid afternoon snack. Best of all it's easy to make.


Here it goes. Serves 4.


1 chilled ripe avocado

1 frozen ripe banana

3.5 tablespoons of cocoa powder

2 - 3 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

2 tablespoons of cold water

1 tiny pinch of sea salt

Decorative options:

Dark Chocolate Shavings, Coconut Flakes, Cocao Nibs, Banana Slices, Orange Zest

Optional Flavourings:

Shot of coffee, shot of rum, almond extract, peppermint extract, orange extract


Blitz everything in a food processor. Serve it up, top it with beauty and there we go.
